everyone's sleeping :(

instead of sleeping in the morning as i have gotten used to doing, i slept just before midnight. this resulted in me waking up at five, when everyone's asleep. restricted to tiptoeing and sitting here in the dark in case i wake roomie.

material science down! i still think its a retarded subject though. after the paper jack, daniel, caleb, nanzhi, ryan and i had a canadian pizza feast, "celebrating the end of herrick's exams". yea right haha.



















during dinner we were talking about how we cant expect to compete with others in bie coz on top of being so smart, they're damn disciplined and hardworking, while we're...not. the inspirational story of a guy who studies in b3, who played like hell and got two point something in year 1 & 2, and then started working hard and got four point something last sem. and how the people there are not actually studying all the time. which is supposed to show us that its possible, its all down to consistent work. ryan and i also talked about last last night/ ytd morning, about studying next sem. but i did try at the beginning of the sem, and burned out and got sick of it super quickly. so like last sem, i think its all gonna be just talk during exam period, and back to the same nonsense when sem starts.

its bright now! yings just popped by, and after all my hard effort keeping quiet so i wouldnt wake roomie up, yings dropped her waterbottle on her! as if whacking me up every morning wasnt enough, now she has to attack my roomie too. she has a morning paper and then hopefully we're gonna have swensons with ryan coz those two aunties wanna use their coupons. oh ryan moved out :( stupidshit.

no more disgusting music and singing during study sessions

last night studying with bang coz tomorrow's his last paper! i hate it when people finish exams earlier :( its okay, i'd hate to have a crammed timetable with no time to study in between papers, it'd totally kill me. we're at bie now, after like more than a week. i'll probably be here next week though.

chem screwed up my life on monday. to quote jack: " After 5 months of hard mugging, the only thing that i did just now and am good at, is drawing a fuckin benzene ring." so now, even with alot less time for material science, gotta try my best. just now when he walked past david told us not to worry, the paper's easy, but i've been sleeping/walking out of almost every one of the lectures so i dont think its applicable to me haha.

shong needs to switch to another drink, teh si isnt good for her, or so i'd like to believe.

no more anatomy :(

yes i'm actually sad its over! as impossible and sucky as it was memorising all those terms and processes, it was really fun. i'm gonna miss spitting out random bits of information about the body and naming muscles and bones.

i punch/kick/slap on reflex and i need to stop.

the rest have gone back but i'm determined not to leave till i finish this chapter at least. the lack of sleep is gonna kick in tomorrow again.

susu yings and i rushed our sleepy butts to jp today to eat kfc breakfast and buy colour contacts. i bought maroon for brandon haha hope they're not too disgusting. i think he's gonna pass his math test too, he sounds alot clearer on it than he did before. seeing him putting effort into his studies is inspiring me. right, back to a&p.

ryan herrica's birthday!

yupp it was like a week ago but still. we had fun! thank you so much my awesome almost roomie yings who was the co-organizer, who put in many hours talking online to plan, going out to buy stuff, preparing etc. i was really nervous, and quite a few almost screw ups, but it worked out in the end :)

this made it all worth it.

i played with balls at jurong safra!

FINALLY. coz julianne's birthday party was held there today. it wasnt as great as i had expected though. the balls were foam, not the plastic ones we used to have, and were used for loading into these cannons to shoot. it was alot of climbing through small holes, no tunnels to crawl through, no pit of balls to fall into and very few slides. but mostly it was the little kids, who were freaking violent and would just push and shove their way through and step all over you. and coz they're so tiny you cant do anything back! i was swinging on this punching bag thing and fell flat on my face, and my knees hurt now. but it was so funny when it happened, all of us including myself were literally rolling on the floor laughing.

they dropped me in hall since it was nearby and since i was chem textbookless, i went to swim! but at the rate i'm eating, and with no tuesday thurday trainings, blueberry is here to stay.

waiting for the family to pick me up so we can have dinner at ama's house later. whee yummy indian food! :)

to plague my conscience about the chemistry test, we had to shop at ION

which, as we had warned my mother, was a horrible place to shop. i only got a pair of shoes. i know right, like do i seriously need another pair since i already have so many, and still wear my sandals practically everywhere. my brother shops worse than a girl. tries on a t-shirt, walks up and down in front of the mirror, flexes his muscles, asks me to get another size, tries on the other size, and then tries the original size again... super frustrating.

so it was a pretty unproductive day. didnt even get qams present. speaking of presents,
me: so what do you want for your birthday?
ryan: nothing.
me: come on, you must want something
ryan: okay, erm... facial foam?

HAHA he's such a clown. i couldnt collect his book! :( so he has to go down with his poor conjuctivitised eye to get it. when i get conjuctivitis, my eye gets red, and alot smaller. if his eyes are smaller, i wonder how he's managing to see.

another funny convo, my bro and i were discussing some comments on a facebook post and used a few acronyms.
mum: fyi, we teachers have to go through a crashcourse to learn all this internet acronyms. so i know all these LOL and etc.
bran: chey, etcetera they've been using from like the 1980s already la, who dunno.

someone who eats vegetables or someone who doesnt eat meat? i found it really funny that my brother thought it was the former (coz obviously i dont) but after pravin and ryan both told me the same thing, i'm starting to feel stupid. someone enlighten me!

like all Good Fridays, the whole family spent the day sleeping after coming back from mass. as brandon pointed out, this means that they're all gonna be awake tonight :(
